Fresh alpine lakes & cosy warm swimming pools!
When hiking around the holiday region Merano-Tirolo and surroundings you'll see fresh alpine rivers, imposing waterfalls, and green to deep blue alpine lakes. Only the very brave jump into Lago Lungo Lake or one of the 11 Sopranes Lakes in the Tessa Group Nature Park in mid summer. More comfortable however, is a swim in the pool at Immenhof or in one of the numerous public pools in the surroundings like the oasis at the waterpark in Tirolo, the adventure pool in Naturno, the Lido pool in Merano, the outdoor pool in Scena or in Lagundo. Passionate swimmers will visit the Meranarena, where you'll find numerous pools of various sizes for swim training or free-style swimming.
Only a stone's throw away – a 10 minute walk from Immenhof – you'll find the highlight of all pools, the 5 ha large Thermal Baths of Merano. This attraction comprises a 50,000 m² large thermal park, a unique place for recreation and quietness in the city centre of Merano. The bathing world of the Thermal Baths Merano with 25 pools (13 indoor and 12 outdoor pools) comprises swimming pools, source basin, jet stream pool, warm and cold water basin, and a Kneipp basin.

Tappeiner Path, Gilf Promenade, Sissi Path to the botanic gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, Falkner Promenade, cultural path to Tirol Castle and S. Pietro, Apple Path and Wine Path - all of them are in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and can be reached by foot.

Cycling in fragrant orchards, along gentle valley paths or twisty pass roads... the choice is yours!
The Merano-Passiria cycling path starts almost immediately outside our door. If you can not bring your own bike, you can rent one at the entry to the cycling path.
The cycling path in the Adige Valley brings you either up to Malles (or to the Resia Pass) in the Venosta Valley or down to Termeno or Caldaro to Bassa Atesina/Oltradige. You can easily reach the starting point for your cycling tour by train or take the train for returning to Merano after your cycling tour.
The Rombo Pass 2509m and the Palade Pass 1512m are both stage finishes of the Giro d’Italia – and are very popular amongst street cyclists.

Avelengo is the home of Haflinger horses. The village is located directly on the opposite mountain side of Immenhof.
Haflinger horses are popular due to their special character – a successful cross breed between local ponies with the amazing beauty and the lively temper of Arabian thoroughbred horses.
Numerous horse riding stables in Avelengo offer guided riding excursions, pony riding, and individual or group lessons.
The Merano Riding Club with its vast riding facilities is the home of many different races.
